Week 3 (2021)

KOA to Kennedy Meadows

Sorry it’s been so long, something about paying for wifi and I just cant do it. Also, without internet access I cant upload my location, so sorry for that.

Did the 258 to KM in a week. In that time i lost my hat in crazy wind near tehachapi, ate an old can of green beans with ketchup at McGivers cabin and crushed a can of SPAM at Walkers pass. Feet are getting better, happy to be done with the desert!

Week 2 (2021)

Arrived at the PCT in Cabazon, Ca mile 209 on the night of the 27th. 235 miles and one week later arrived at the KOA in Acton. Picked up my resupply. MOST hikers have been nice and the trail is great for the most part. It’s nice not pounding pavement and knowing where water sources are. It’s also nice to talk with other hikers. 1 week to Kennedy Meadows and the real hiking will begin!

Week 1 (2021)

First week was tough! First day was tough! Both trekking poles are broken, ripped my shorts and my arms and legs are scratched all to hell! Heat is hard to get used to, but I’ve kept my 30 mile average. Water has been non existent so the carries have been extra heavy. Tomorrow I’ll resupply in Morongo Valley and make it to the PCT by the end of the day.
